I feel it to be a duty which I owe to the Medical Profession, to give them some ac count of the Disease lately prevalent at the General Penitentiary. I have abstained from doing so until the present time, in order that I might secure for it that attention which medical men never fail to bestow upon subjects essentially their own, when they are left entirely to themselves.
