In preparing for our visit, we found ourselves hampered not a little by the want of definite and recent information on many points, which it was necessary to know while planning our route; and, since our return, it has occurred to me that any who are looking forward to a similar visit may find their labour lightened by the perusal of a journal showing, with some precision of detail as to times and places, how large a part of the country can be seen in the course of a short vacation.
