But notwithstanding all this, we continued in daily Prayers and Supplications to Cod; be'E 2 seeching seeching him, that, since we had so little Aid and Encouragement to expect from Men, He himself wou'd open a Door unto us, and favour us the more with his wonted Mercy and Goodness, which then commonly begins to act, when Things seem to be at the worst. Hereupon the Lord was pleased, powerfully to support us by a comfortable Instance of his Providence, assuring us thereby, He himself wou'd bear witness to our Ministry amongst the Heathens.
