No rock was left unturned. These authors pour their hearts, and express their experiences, in rare and raw form, all to deliver practical truths that only a true survivor can give. One of these heartfelt stories comes from Bennie Mayberry, who is the Founder of Positive Minded People. Mr. Mayberry lost his mother in 2008 from the complications of drug use. He experienced fifteen years of poverty, an environment filled with drugs, living at times without electricity, losing his father to the prison system, and even sexual abuse as a child. Reconciling these experiences was not easy. Despite these struggles, Bennie founded Positive Minded People in 2011 to build an inspiring community of people that change lives on a local and global scale. Now over 7,000 members and several years later, eight members of Positive Minded People, along with Bennie, share their stories in hopes of helping others experience life in a new way. Why is this book so valuable? We all need encouragement and we all need examples of how success looks on the other side of struggle.
