This series in particular just has that special something. The characters are interesting and I care about them. While reading Rise and the other first issues from Double Take, I had this overwhelming sensation of reading a comic for the first time... Obviously Double Take is a new company and their formula isn't 100% proven, but I can't stress enough that I felt like I was reading a comic book since I first got into comic books as an adult. About the Author

Jeff McComsey is an American writer/illustrator (MOTHER RUSSIA, FLUTTER, AMERICAN TERROR) working in comics for the past seven years. He is also editor in chief of the New York Times Best selling historical zombie anthology FUBAR, now into its sixth volume. Jeff and his family reside in the quaintly hip city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Stan Chou is a comic artist who specializes in horror and sci-fi. He has penciled and inked several indie comics available on Comixology such as Maintenance, Been Bit, First Law of Mad Science Mixtapes Anthology and FUBAR By the Sword Anthology. Other productions he has worked on that are only available in print are The Red Bloods #1 to #3 by Straight 8 Photography, Smell a Rat written by Carl Smith, and The Robots of Dharma written by Jai Undurti.
