Born in 1918, Lewis Sergeant was a sergeant in the Army of the United States for forty years. He trained men to be killers in war and fought in three wars himself. He never married, but had six kids and many grandchildren. Women loved him, but none would marry him except one and she was killed by the Viet Cong before they could tie the knot. Lewis had friends scattered around the world, but his two very best friends were a hermaphrodite and a Bengal tiger, who shared many of his adventures.
