About the Author:

I believe everyone has a story to tell. Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed watching people and guessing what their stories are, where they have been and what have they done in their lives. People are more fascinating and inspirational than they realize. Once they open up, you just never know what they'll say and how much impact it will have on you or others. As we learn more about the people who live in a place, the more we understand what makes that place special. I moved to Kauai from California in 1988 after having a dream on the last morning of my island vacation that I could never come back. I was so distraught in my dream that I woke up with tears in my eyes! Five weeks later, I moved to the island. Every day since then, I've been thankful to live in paradise. As I've gotten to know the people of this island - and the state of Hawaii - I've come to love them both even more. You will know why after you read Kauai Stories. Although I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I am an insurance agent and have been in the insurance industry for 30 years.
