John Peyton Cooke was born in Amarillo, Texas, and grew up in Laramie, Wyoming. He now lives in London, UK. His other novels include STINK LAKE, OUT FOR BLOOD, TORSOS, THE CHIMNEY SWEEPER, HAVEN, and THE RAPE OF GANYMEDE. His short story "After You've Gone" was selected for BEST AMERICAN MYSTERY STORIES 2003. He has also published short fiction in Weird Tales and The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, and his tales are collected in AFTER YOU'VE GONE AND OTHER OUTRE TALES.
