About the Author:
Jeffrey D. Kaplan is a principal in PwC's advisory practice. He is also in the firm’s Government business group. Kaplan has more than 25 years of experience, primarily in effecting process transformation via the strategic application of technology, across multiple business areas including marketing, sales, service, engineering, supply chain and information technology. His expertise comprises IT governance, strategy, performance management, customer management, and organizational change management. Kaplan also oversees intellectual property and affiliations related to the Strategic IT Management Practice. He has helped organizations in industries spanning the banking, chemical, computer equipment, government, pharmaceutical, software, and telecommunications fields dramatically improve business processes through the strategic deployment of technology investments. Prior to joining PwC, Kaplan worked in the IT industry, where he held IT management positions in multiple business areas including customer management, service provision, and vendor and project management. He holds an M.B.A with a focus on marketing, production and operations management from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in computer science from the University of Iowa.
