This is a Christmas Story about a donkey who truly enjoys his life on the farm and the nature that surrounds him. His primary job is to protect the sheep and the goats from attacks by dogs,wolves, or coyotes. He can Hee and Haw louder than any other donkey on the farm and he loves to hear himself. His Mother however is always telling him to control his Hees and his Haws because some day he will take her place at the Christmas stable in the big city. Henri works hard to control his braying. When the time does come for him to go to the the city he is frightened by the experiences he encounters along the way. He finally settles in at the stable in the park but one evening strange things begin to happen.A woman comes late at night and puts money in the Baby Jesus" clothing, a stray cat comes and jumps in the manager and a lost coyote wanders into the barn. Henri struggles trying to deciede if he should bray but finally deciedes that the new comers will not hurt anyone. and joins all the other animals in a Christmas song.
