About the Author:
Patricia Barnes-Svarney is the author of more than 25 science and science fiction books for children and adults, including the best-seller Sabrina, the Teenage Witch: Magic Handbook (Pocket Books, 1998), Create-a-Space Shuttle (Publications International, 1997), and The New York Public Library Science Desk Reference (Macmillan, 1995). She has written over 350 articles for magazines such as Popular Science, Astronomy, Air & Space, Omni, and USAir.
Dominic Catalano has illustrated more than a dozen children's books, including The Wide World of Suzie Mallard; Merry Christmas, Old Armadillo; The Bear Who Loved Puccini; and Bernard's Nap, which won the 1999 Parent's Choice Silver Honor award. He lives Columbus, Ohio, where he teaches and conducts workshops in writing and illustrating.
