Review:
I have read many books on Christian marriage and this is one of the best I've read - it isn't a book that whacks you round the head and points out your failures but encourages people to expect the destiny God has promised. A very well written book - easy to read and full of practical help. Enjoy! Joanne, UK --Amazon.co.uk
I devoured this book in two sittings - I just couldn't put it down! 'Marriages of Destiny' is compelling, heartwarming and an encouragement to anyone who wants to learn about the reality of getting into, and staying in, a marriage that is approved by God. Kathy and Phillip, and several other courageous couples, have committed to paper, personal stories that most of us would keep to ourselves. In being so honest they have gently exposed some of the misconceptions commonly held about how believers walk the path to 'holy matrimony'. This book challenges us to see beyond our limited perceptions, to trust God with our hearts and to be prepared to grow in, and through, the experiences he has for each of us. Polly, UK --Amazon.co.uk
This amazing book by Kathy and Philip shares their journey through struggles, uncertainties, hopes and dreams towards a marriage truly designed in heaven. It is full of honest, deep reflections on their individual and joint exploration of their relationship and desire to hear God clearly at each stage. Their willingness to be real and vulnerable makes this a special book and their humour and practical encouragement re lessons learned are full of wisdom and grace. The questions to ask yourself re a potential relationship and the testimonies of different people's stories bring challenge and hope that God can be trusted to guide us in such an important area. I'd certainly recommend this book to pastoral teams and to young and older singles seeking God's wisdom and heart for marriage. Sue, UK --Amazon.co.uk
