A single bottlenose dolphin had spent a number of months around the harbour mouth of Maryport (Cumbria) going relatively unnoticed. That was until high tide on the 5th Jan 2006 when he entered Maryports Harbour & Marina.
Maryport Marina became the playground for the young Dolphin that locals named "Marra" which means mate or friend in the local dialect.
Marra was released back into the wild, and was met by a second dolphin.
This book is dedicated to all the people of Maryport as a lasting reminder of the day Marra came to Maryport
