'Imma miss you all’ were Ashdon Jazz’s final words. When Patricia Hewitt walked in to find her daughter had taken her own life at the age of just fourteen. She knew her world, would never be the same again. This book depicts a journey from the early stages of tragedy and grief, through poetry and anecdote. The memory excerpts, reveal Ashdons’ unique and captivating character whilst leaving the reader with a valuable life lesson. Patricia Hewitt beautifully opens her heart in order for others to learn about a remarkable young lady. For parents who still nurture, it is a reminder to learn, cherish and find ways to maintain those special moments with your children. For parents who have lost a child, a reminder too that the memories of their child will never be lost and must be kept continually alive. A reminder that bereaved parents must remain strong through the dark journey. Many others have also walked the sorrowful road at a different pace. Through her daughter’s death, the writer is able to celebrate and bring hope to others through her memories. In every life tragedy, we must look for the smallest positive light and focus on it until it leads us through to the other side.
