About the Author:
Edited by Tony Sweeney, a Senior Lecturer in Social Sciences at Glasgow College of Nautical Studies and an Associate Lecturer in Social Sciences with The Open University in Scotland. He is a vetter and external examiner for NQ Sociology and a director of The Association for the Teaching of the Social Sciences (ATSS). John Lewis is a Section Leader and Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Politics at Cardonald College, Glasgow and an Associate Lecturer in Social Sciences with the Open University in Scotland. He is an SQA external moderator for the HNC/D Social Sciences and Principal Assessor for NQ Sociology in Scotland.Neil Etherington is a doctoral student at Strathclyde University's Department of Human Resource management, where he also teaches. He is an Associate Lecturer in Social Sciences with The Open University in Scotland and is currently involved in various capacities at Cardonald and Langside Colleges in Glasgow and Stevenson College in Edinburgh.
