A general overview of my publication.
This book (which is my first) took nearly two years to research, write and complete. It contains interviews with local promoters, musicians and fans, and also includes rare memorabilia and photographs from various national and local sources, such as the archives of the Herts and Essex Observer. Additionally, it contains a day-by-day gig guide to music-related events over a twelve year period from 1957 to 1969 as well as a general history of popular music from these years; the idea being, of course, that the reader knows exactly whereabouts he or she is in relation to both the book and the era. An excellent read!
