Eleanor Mitchell was born into a prominent Lancashire fairground family in 1906. She recorded details of her early life both on and off the fairground. At the age of sixteen she became the champion typist of Europe and went on to win many competitions. Her son Tommy Green has brought these details together and and added lavish illustrations to give a vivid picture of a time long past.
