About the Author:
Eldon L. "Buck" Buckner is the current Chairman of the Boone and Crockett Club's Records of North American Big Game Committee. He was first appointed an Official Measurer in 1968 while serving as a U.S. Forest Service range conservationist in Arizona. He has served as Judges Panel Chairman, Consultant, and Judge for Boone and Crockett Club Awards Programs since 1990. He lives in Baker City, Oregon.
Jack Reneau is a certified wildlife biologist who has been Director of Big Game Records for the Boone and Crockett Club since 1983. He was responsible for the day-to-day paperwork of the Boone and Crockett Club's records-keeping activities from 1976 to 1979 as an information specialist for the Hunter Services Division of the National Rifle Association (NRA) when NRA and Boone and Crockett Club cosponsored the B&C Awards Program. Jack earned a M.S. in Wildlife Management from Eastern Kentucky University and a B.S. in Wildlife Management from Colorado State University. He resides in Missoula, Montana.
