From the Author:
This book is about lost and found Civil War treasures.
For over 30 years I've been collecting Civil War treasure stories, both lost and found treasures. Many of these stories are true, the remainder may be legends based on the truth. When dealing with what is mostly tales passed down from one generation to the next, the facts sometimes become a bit twisted. I used historical documentation to sort out some of the fiction and to reveal some of the facts. Enjoy this collection. I hope you uncover some Civil War treasures out there--possibly the lost Confederate Treasury or some cache of coins hidden by a soldier who went off to war, but never returned home. This book has a list of treasures by state (40 states as well as the Bahamas and Mexico). I have noted the sources of the information on each treasure story. My book also contains a list of treasure hunting clubs by state and other Civil War treasure hunting resources. Good hunting. Let me know if you find any of the treasures.
