Review:
The author presents an easy to read, interesting and usefull book on hypnosis. I was able to use the historical section for my lectures at various universities. The applications of hypnosis were simple to understand, yet advanced enough to meet the needs of professionals. I was very happy with the way Ms. Hadley explained the cognative approaches to smoking cessation, weight reduction and stress management. I am happy to recommend this book to my students. --By Roger Bergman on March 10, 2001

This was a pretty good book. Actually went a little more in depth about certain health problems and the like than some others that I have read, and it gives a lot of example inductions and other great stuff like that which is good for a beginner... --By A Customer on March 31,2014

This book is a really good starting point for a person looking to get involved with the field of clinical hypnosis as Hadley and Staudacher have clearly outlined the basic process. Providing useful inductions and scripts, you could practice with this volume for awhile and then could decide if you wanted to go on to more intensive hands-on practice. --By James Malone on October 2, 2005
