About the Author:

Anne Merrick was born and spent most of her early childhood in Wales. She took a degree in English at Nottingham University and went on to teach in primary and secondary schools, and later at Exeter University School of Education. After publishing short stories and critical essays, her first children's novel, SOMEONE CAME KNOCKING, was published in 1993 to great acclaim. Anne Merrick now lives in Devon.

Synopsis:
