From the Author
I have been associated with the German Pinscher virtually since it first came into the UK over 20 years ago. During all that time I was busy researching into their origins etc. When I retired from teaching in 1997 I had the oportunity to sort and collate my findings and the idea of writing a book emerged. This was my way of giving something back to the dogs who had been such a big part of my life and meant so much to me. There was no book on the breed in the English language and any other written information was somewhat limited. The time seemed ripe for a book on the German Pinscher.
About the Author
I was born in 1937 in London, England. During the WW11 I was evacuated with my two sisters to Englefield Green in Surrey. As I had obtained a Grammar School place there I stayed on until completing my education in 1955. It was not until the 70s that I became interested in the exhibiting of dogs and started out with Dobermanns but by the early 80s I had my first Pinscher, Rhana. Exhibiting, breeding and judging of the German Pinscher followed and subsequently the book.
