About the Author:
Connie Wanek was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She lives in Duluth, Minnesota where she is a public librarian and renovates old houses with her husband. The author of two books, she is a 2006 Witter Bynner Fellow in Poetry. Joyce Sutphen lives in Chaska, Minnesota, and teaches at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. She is the author of Naming the Stars, winner of a 2004 Minnesota Book Award for Poetry; Straight Out of View, winner of the 1994 Barnard New Women Poets Prize; and Coming Back to the Body. Thom Tammaro lives in Moorhead, Minnesota, and is Professor of English at Minnesota State University Moorhead and the 2001 Roland and Beth Dille Distinguished Faculty Lecturer. Tammaro is the author of two collections of poems, and co-editor of five anthologies, including Visiting Emily; Imagining Home: Writing from the Midwest; and Inheriting the Land, all Minnesota Book Award winners.
