Pauline Burgess lives just outside Belfast, but is originally from Rostrevor in County Down. She teaches at a school in Castlewellan, and is mum to six-year-old Emma, who is mad about ponies. It's through Emma that Pauline has come to know Lessans Riding Stables - where her books are set - so well. Pauline's work has been published in numerous magazines and anthologies.
