Effective use of astro-sights in yacht navigation depends on practice. As well as increasing this skill at sea, it is strongly advisable to work problems from examples: so this set of exercises helps navigators reach perfection. The exercises are arranged in groups, each with 17 questions. Number 1 in each group covers the same sort of problem. So does each number 2 and so on; . The navigator can therefore practice on several problems of the same type or on a chapter of 17 different ones. For each question, results are shown facsimile, as if written down in an ordinary yacht log book, or on a chart or plotting sheet.
