This spiral bound street atlas of Essex includes complete countywide mapping in one volume and contains 208 pages of coloured street mapping. The mapping covers Essex in two sections: Section 1: County Maps at a scale of 1 inch to 1 mile. This mapping includes the whole of the Essex administrative and postal area and extends to cover Barrington, Duxford, Linton, Haverhill, Stanstead, Bures, Colchester, Stutton, Harwich, Frinton-On-Sea, Clacton-On-Sea, Burnham-On-Crouch, Shoeburyness, Southend-On-Sea, Canvey Island, Gravesend, Swanley, Orpington, Islington, Enfield, Watton at Stone and Barkway. At the end of this section on page 50 there is a postcode map. Section 2: Street Maps at a scale of approximately 3 inches to 1 mile. This extends to cover all the major built up areas throughout the county together with the vast majority of streets in rural areas. The 65 page index section gives references for both County and Street maps and also includes an index to Hospitals, Health Centres and Hospices. The back cover of this new edition has been extended to include a gate fold so that the publication title is still visible when stacked on a shelf.

The gate fold may also be used as a book mark.
