About the Author:

Frans Lanting is critically acclaimed as one of the world's great outdoor photographers. His work has appeared primarily in National Geographic, and he has several other books to his credit. Lanting was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and now lives in Monterey Bay, California.
