About the Author:
Thomas P. Ofcansky is currently with the Department of Defense. He has published several books and numerous articles on east Africa ger. Robert M. Maxon has spent many years teaching Kenyan history and politics to Kenyans, first as a high school teacher, and now as a professor of history at Moi University. He has written extensively on Kenya and east Africa.
