I would like to have you open your Bible at the first epistle of John, fifth chapter, fourth and fifth verses: Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. But I found out, after serving Christ for a few months, that conversion was only like enlisting in the army, that there was a battle on hand, and that if I was to get a crown, I had to work for it and fight for it.

He is the author of several books, including Christ in You and Spiritual Power.

Dwight Lyman Moody (February 5, 1837 December 22, 1899), also known as D.L. Moody, was an American evangelist and publisher connected with the Holiness Movement, who founded the Moody Church, Northfield School and Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts (now Northfield Mount Hermon School), the Moody Bible Institute, and Moody Publishers.
