Synopsis

"A Meal to Die For" is the story of Benny Lacoco, "The Food Fence," who may be finding himself permanently out of touch with one or all of his old mafia friends, due to rumours that someone in their circle may have opted to turn state's evidence and enter witness protection. Over the course of a night's preparation of a meal for these friends, Benny reflects on the events of his life and the tentativeness of his future. Along with each course (recipes included) is a flashback of the turning points in Benny's life - from heisting Omaha Steaks, to scamming olive oil, to a quite different way of performing a hit. And always in the back of his mind is the question - will this evening provide him with the just desserts of a life of crime?
