About the Author:
Robert Schultz is the Fishwick Professor of English at Roanoke College in Virginia. His books include a novel, The Madhouse Nudes, and two collections of poetry. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts Literature Award in Fiction, Cornell University's Corson Bishop Poetry Prize, and from The Virginia Quarterly Review, the Emily Clark Balch Prize for Poetry.

Schultz is one of America's most published and prolific writers, with nearly three thousand piano arrangements, transcriptions, and origianl works in print. Schultz joined the arranging staff at Columbia Pictures Publications, now Warner Bros. Publications, in 1979. He held the position of senior keyboard editor from 1980 to 1989. Currently he devotes his full time to composing and arranging, writing exclusively for Warner Bros. Publications from his studio in Miami, Florida. Although Schultz focuses primarily on piano writing, his output also includes original orchestral works, chamber music, works for solo instruments, vocal music, and incidental music for several plays. Recordings of Schultz's original piano compositions and transcriptions have been released on the ACA Digital label. Outstanding reviews in "The American Music Teacher", "Clavier", and "Piano Quarterly" reflect the enthusiasm with which his piano works have been received.
