Review:
'Beautiful and informative and truly global in outlook, this is a fascinating collection of diverse designs from around the world' --The Designer Magazine (July 2008)
'For 100 years this would still be one of the few unpotronising references to what was called until very recently ethnographic, or more dismissively, primitive art. That alone makes this amazing book one (remembering Alkan's misadventure) to die for.' --The Royal Academy Magazine
About the Author:
Owen Jones was a Victorian architect and designer who was very involved in The Great Exhibition of 1851 and the Crystal Palace as well as being very much a leading light in the design and art world of the time.
