The coal dust soon gets in your lungs in this gritty tale of the war-torn lives of the community of Pontypridd where the Home front has its full ration of heartache and despair, thankfully lightened by that famous wartime spirit. 4 stars -- Steve Craggs Northern Echo 1941. In Pontypridd, Ronnie Ronconi has returned home from war-torn Italy.
