About the Author

Synopsis

Dickens' novel featuring the orphan Oliver depicts a London rife with child crime and exploitation. Oliver Twist goes from the Poor House to join Fagin and his child thieves where he mixes in an underworld peopled by the likes of the evil Bill Sykes.
