About the Author:

Sandor M. Veres (PhD, MIEE, CEng) was born in Hungary in 1956. He was educated in Hungary after which he moved to England. He was a scholar at Imperial College, London, and at Linacre College, Oxford in 1987-88. He was an academic with the University of Birmingham between 1991 and 1999, he is now Reader in Digital Control at the University of Southampton. He is the author of two monographs ("Structure Selection of Stochastic Dynamic Systems" by Gordon & Breach, 1991). He wrote about 100 refereed research papers. He headed an international team to produce the Geometric Bounding Toolbox listed in the "MATLAB Connections" catalogue. He was co-organizer of INTER-ACTIVE'99 on active control of sound and vibration which is the basis of a book "Active Control of Sound and Vibration" published by the IEE.
