About the Author

Alex Almoudaris is a fifth year intercalating student at Imperial College and was part of the first cohort of the Imperial′s new course. he plans to pursue a career in orthopaedics.

Chris Ferguson is a fifth year student at the University of Manchester. He completed an intercalated BSc in infection at the Royal Free Medical School last Year. He plans to pursue a career in tropical medicine.

Sally Girgis is Secretary of the Medical Students Committee at the British Medical Association. She is an Australian living London.
