I, Sneezus Tessalatus is a collection of short zany stories and other writings. Most are mad. However, one or two have a tie with reality. For example, the author actually applied, tongue-in-cheek, for the job of manager of Newcastle United and his letter is included. (He never got a reply!) He also had great difficulty one evening making contact with British Rail about train times. There are also touches of real life buried in some of the other stories. The lengthy romantic story was born out of the author's love of the organ, a composer called Guilmant, and the old town of Boulogne, where Guilmant played the organ.

Hamish Ritchie is a retired chartered (shattered!) accountant who has now found many ways to use his free time. Some of it has been to write this book of short stories, which he has greatly enjoyed doing. He also has a film in mind, of which the last highly dramatic minute (with music) has been decided, but he has no concept yet of the first two hours of the story! Having had a career in business in the UK and overseas, he has also developed a website covering a range of related issues and is currently finalising a short book on financial matters, again from a new angle.
