The theory and practice of underwater archaeology includes nearly every archaeological discipline from prehistoric archaeology to the modern era. About the Author:

James P. Delgado is Executive Director at the Vancouver Maritime Museum. A maritime archaeologist, he has dived on and studied wrecks around the world, including RMS Titanic. He is a board member of the International Congress of Maritime Museums and is the President of the Council of American Maritime Museums. He is the author of 25 books including Across the Top of the World: the Quest for the Northwest Passage (BMP 1999).
