Start Mylor Bridge Distance 4.75 miles (7.6km) Height Gain 425 feet (130m) Approx Time 2.5 hours Route Terrain Level and easy Parking Public car park opposite Mylor Bridge, 4 miles north of Falmouth Dog Friendly Under control at all times
This is a pleasant stroll for a summer's evening, through the navigation back to Mylor Bridge might become difficult if the food and drink at the Pandora Inn prove to beguiling. The walking is easy and the views of the Carrick Roads and across Restronguet Creek are always interesting, both for their beauty and for the glimpses offered of the splendid creekside houses. As with most creekside walks, it is at its best with the tide up.
Cross the road from the car park to Trevellan Road opposite, which leads past the post office. At the quay follow the footpath sign for Restronguet. The way briefly threads between houses before emerging into a meadow which the path crosses to reach the river again, keeping above the shoreline on the edge of the fields. The riverside trees allow only occasional enticing views of Mylor Creek, where the predominant features are boats and expensive homes. Mylor Churchtown, on the other side of the river, can be seen through the trees after about 20 minutes' walking.
