Allows the reader to assess the radiograph and suggest a diagnosis for the problem. The reader's interpretation may then be compared with the major observations listed in the text and, in some instances, a useful drawing on the following page. A different diagnosis is also given for each condition.

Synopsis:
100 X-ray plates representing 100 different cases of clinical problems manifested in the hand. With each X-ray a brief outline of clinical presentation and patient details will be given. The reader is then expected to "read" the radiograph and suggest a diagnosis for the problem. This can then be compared with the major observations and in some instances an interpretive drawing on the following page. A differential diagnosis is given.
