Synopsis

On the lonely, windswept, sun baked plains of west Texas stands an assortment of adobe cottages. It is the Boys Ranch, home for 100 orphaned boys. Each year a sad old padre has the unpleasant task of sending each boy on his way when he turns eighteen. This is done to make room for the little boys on the waiting list. Last week Grady McCain was a carefree member of the baseball team. He turned eighteen yesterday. today he is a lonely, scared, boy /man when he walks out the front gate and walks toward an unknown future. With no gun, no horse and no idea where he will sleep tonight. Colleen and Marlene are two beautiful young ladies who find themselves homeless when within twenty-four hours after their father was murdered an unscrupulous holder of a lien on their ranch forecloses. The young boy/man walks straight into a fight for survival, not only for himself but for two lovely young ladies. A fight that will utilize all of Colleen’s brains and Grady’s fast hands, fast gun and an old dog named Knott. While a tenacious marshal and a resolute sheriff are determined to find the man who murdered the girl’s father. Published by: Double D Publishing co. P.O. Box 76099 Grapevine, TX 76099
