Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh is an American writer. Her two first books explored eating disorders and mental health: Eating With Your Anorexic (McGraw-Hill), and Throwing Starfish (co-written with Charlotte Bevan). She was a founder of Maudsley Parents, F.E.A.S.T., and Charlotte’s Helix. An award-winning essayist, Lyster-Mensh is a longtime blogger and activist whose interviews have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, NPR, and the BBC. Lyster-Mensh is a popular speaker internationally and has published poetry and magazine articles as well as peer-reviewed articles. This is her fourth book. She is currently working on a book about genealogy.
