"Disconnected tells the life stories of six people who had to reinvent themselves in the wake of losing their jobs at AT&T. These are moving, inspiring--and cautionary--tales. It's a book about the connection between work and identity-and what it means today to be a company man or woman in the new American workplace. Telling these stories was an emotional experience for me--and I hope that reading them will be an emotional experience for you, too.
