Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Edition (A-4.72). Beautiful orange covers, spotless, bright gilt lettering on the spine, very little wear, just a little crinkling at the spine ends, and very light rubbing at the corners. Straight and square book. Very solidly bound. Tight pages. No cracks or spaces anywhere. The pages are very clean. There are just a few small spots over the first few pages of text. After that, scrolling through, I didn't see any soiling. I didn't see any creasing or dogeared corners. There aren't any markings or attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The dust jacket has a little bit of wear, not much. There's a tiny bit of loss at the spine ends. The spine is slightly faded. There is also a small nick/tear a little bit up from the bottom spine edge. The covers are quite clean. The dust jacket is NOT price-clipped and will be fitted with a protective cover. From the dust jacket flap 'Dispossessing The American Indian is an "eye-opening and ego-shattering experience", disturbing not because it is "pro-Indian" or written from an "Indian point of view," but because for the first time "the well-known story of Indian-White confrontation during the colonial era is told with true objectivity'.
