Experiments are the preferred type of projects at many science fairs and the only acceptable projects at some because they involve logic, reasoning, systematic method, and creativity. Experiments and scientific method are discussed in detail with examples in the book. Many project ideas are given, and ways to make a project stand out are presented.

We have found that science fairs and experiments can be work instead of fun without good organization, a good mix of events, community support, and instruction about experiments and scientific method. These items are all addressed in detail in "Not Just Another Science Fair."
