About the Author:
Lia Matera is a graduate of Hastings College of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the Constitutional Law Quarterly. She was a Teaching Fellow at Stanford Law School before becoming a fulltime writer of legal mysteries. She received the Shamus Award for the best short story of 1996. She has written twelve novels and is currently at work on a her next mystery. She lives in Northern California.
