Jake lives with his parents in an idyllic holiday hideaway hotel - the hotel's main attraction is that is it a 'kid-free' zone. But Jake, an only child, longs for the company of other children. When a couple from a holiday magazine arrive to do a feature on the hotel, Jake has to keep out of the way to ensure they have a wonderful kid-free time. But things don't go according to plan and Jake discovers things about the history of the hotel that are disturbing. He also meets some other children on the island - who are they, why are they there and what is their connection with the history of the place?
