This atlas for students, teachers and specialists, now available for the first time in paperback, contains 275 detailed and wide-ranging maps on all aspects of Roman Britain. The maps are drawn to a series of standard scales. They cover political and military history, as well as the physical geography of Britain and the view Roman geographers had of it. The management of text with the graphics and the uniformity of the graphics are something for which Jones and Mattingly deserve the highest praise ...
