Gaspar N ez de Arce (Valladolid, 1834-Madrid, 1903). Espa a. Naci el 4 de agosto de 1834 y poco despu s su familia se fue a vivir a Toledo. En 1851 se fue a Madrid, trabaj como redactor en El Observador, uno de los peri dicos m s importantes de la poca y fue corresponsal de La Iberia durante la guerra de frica. M s tarde se afili a la Uni n Liberal y fue gobernador de Logro o y diputado por Valladolid. Tras pasar un tiempo confinado en C ceres por orden de Narv ez, se traslad a Barcelona, y fue gobernador civil durante la Revoluci n de 1868. A partir de 1871 se desempe como senador, consejero de Estado, secretario de la presidencia de gobierno y ministro de exteriores. Nu ez de Arce muri en Madrid el 19 de julio de 1903.
