About the Author

Charles R. Nelson is Professor of Economics and Director of the Institute for Economic Research at the University of Washington. He is also a Trustee of the SteinRoe Mutual Funds and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Dr. Nelson has written extensively for professional journals and is on the editorial boards of The Journal of Monetary Economics and The Journal of Applied Econometrics.
